Michael started his career with Aegon/Scottish Equitable where he worked for a decade to become one of their leading pensions consultants in the City of London.
In 1993 he founded a specialist pension consultancy with Brian Hurl, where they launched the first-ever pension transfer analysis report service for IFAs and their clients, and similarly created one of the first annuity broking services for advisers.
Underpinning these services with technology was essential, and so it was a natural migration from a directly regulated environment to create a dedicated software provider focussed on the pensions industry. Launching Delta in 1995, he has led it from inception to become the first and now market-leading provider of proprietary self-administered pensions and drawdown technology in the UK.
Michael has BSc honours degrees from University of London in Biology and Psychology, and is both a qualified ski instructor and rugby union coach.
